Pay Day!!
I had forgotten how much of a pay cut I took when I separated from the Navy. My first month's pay is in the bank now, and I am doing very well. As a single LCDR with no dependents and only a small mortgage and student loan to pay. I will be banking a lot of money in the next year. Nearly all of it will be tax free, since it will be earned in a war zone. Once I am in theater and getting hazardous duty pay and other special pays, I will clear close to 7000 a month. The Navy is taking good care of me for the inconvenience of being mobilized. I think that I could almost pay off my mortgage entirely when I get back.

Regardless of how much you actually receive, I wouldn't post a number. Since this is public and someone could easily track you or your house down. I am glad it is better than you regular pay, but it is a hazard for you, especially if someone over there finds this.
Don't worry charles, If he has time, he can edit the post.
Love you!
